Antonio is a leading Principal at WRT / Wallace Roberts & Todd in Philadelphia, where that nationally recognized firm’s practice is based. His practice encompasses many high-profile projects in both in the public and the private sector, highlighting civic places, urban mixed-use redevelopment and transportation & urban infrastructure. His green planning and design work have earned him multiple design awards and recognitions, including a 2010 AIA National Urban Design Award for the US House of Representatives Office Buildings & South Capitol Area Plan in Washington, DC, and a cover feature in the US Green Building Council's GreenSource magazine.
Antonio’s projects include master plans such as the Technology Square Plan for the Georgia Institute of Technology, the Virginia State Capitol Plan, and the St. Elizabeths East HQ Plan for the Department of Homeland Security, as well as buildings such as the Downtown Transit and Visitor Center in Charlottesville, VA, and Paseo Verde - a TOD mixed-use project adjoining Temple University in Philadelphia for the Jonathan Rose Companies and Associación de Puertorriqueños en Marcha - a project targeting a double LEED for Homes and LEED ND Platinum certification.
Antonio’s work in sustainable architecture and urban design has been recognized through multiple local and national Design awards from the American Institute of Architects, Progressive Architecture Magazine and the Congress of the New Urbanism, along with publication of his work in Progressive Architecture, Architectural Review magazines and many other publications. Antonio is active in the boards of several civic and professional organizations that include: the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, the American Institute of Architects, and the Urban Land Institute. In the later he serves on the National Advisory Board of the Rose Center for Leadership in Public Land Use. As President-Elect of AIA Philadelphia Antonio is currently curating a Sustainable Design Exhibit to coincide with GreenBuild 2013’s opening in Philadelphia. Antonio received his Master of Architecture in Urban Design degree from Harvard University in 1989 and his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University.
